The question for the series were devised by the famous Derek O’Brian of Cadbury Bournvita Quiz Contest.

Of all the participants applying across India, a total of 21 participants were selected for the first round. The series featured a total of nine rounds. On qualifying fot the first round, the participant gets Rs. 1 and with each round a zero is added to the total, till by the end round the total comes to 10 Crores. Each round had 3 questions to each participant, if he answers atleast 2 out of 3, he is through to the next round, if not he is out. The First 2 rounds are buzzer rounds and the rest are single person rounds. Each round that the player crosses the amount of that round is reserved for him.

The audiences watching the show at home could also win prizes from anywhere between Rs. 4,000-Rs. 2,00,000. They only needed to have the Zee TV world programming guide which had a six digit code printed on it. If all six degits match then the viewer would stand to win Rs. 2,00,000/-. If five digit matched, the prize money would be Rs. 15,000/- and with four digits correct, it would be Rs. 4,000.

Anupam Kher, the first anchor of the show was taken to court by the channel for leaving the show abruptly without any notice. Anupam Kher, in his defence stated that he had not quit and had in fact put-down many film offers for the show. He had also stated that the shows producers had asked him to tell the media that he had quit due to in-availability of dates. He was later replaced by Ashutosh Rana, who too was replaced by Manisha Koirala. All this drama was later claimed to be just a publicity stunt, which in spite of being played tactfully dis not garner any positive response for the show.

The Show has been tauted as one of Zee Tv’s biggest failure in the reality Tv brigade.The Series premeired on Zee Tv on 23rd October, 2000.
