Their family lives in a village in Jharkhand, India. The father of the girl is a village politician and very respected. They are also the Thakurs of the village, meaning they own most of the land in the village. The politician is an arrogant and proud man. As the Thakur is the wealthiest man in the area, he demeans anyone poorer than him. The villagers respect his family out of fear. All of their agricultural land is used for cultivation by the farmers. The politician is strict and hates poor people.

His daughter is the protagonist of the story. She is a young and beautiful girl. The daughter grew up in a wealthy environment. She has got the best education in the village. The daughter has fashionable clothes and all the materialistic things. She is the darling of her parents. Though her father is strict, she shares a close relationship with him. The daughter has reached a marriageable age, and her parents want to marry her off. But life has other plans for her. Fate makes her meet with Poorva, a young man working for her father.

Poorva is an honest and decent man. Even though he is uneducated and poor, he has a heart of gold. Gradually, he and the daughter fall in love. However, the Thakurs do not accept this relationship. Her father threatens Poorva to stay away from her daughter because their status does not match. Heartbroken Poorva leaves the village by ending the relationship. He loves her but wants her to get married in a rich house as he cannot give her a rich and comfortable life.

The village needs a woman candidate as the head of the village to uplift the villagers. The politician’s daughter gets appointed for this role. She works diligently as a leader. She still misses Poorva. Along with her work, she continues her lover’s search. She has to go through many challenges to reach him. Finally, she is united with her lover.
