BR Studios has produced the serial. The story revolves around a young couple, Rashmi and Vijay. Rashmi Khanna is the only daughter and family of her father. Her mother passed away when she was a child. Rashmi's father has brought her up single-handedly. They share a very loving relationship. Vijay Saxena is a lawyer by profession. He is a well-known lawyer in the city. He is renowned for his wit and successful cases. Vijay’s boss, Indrajit, and Rashmi’s father have been best friends for a long time. Indrajit and Rashmi share a sacred bond. Indrajit considers Rashmi as his daughter. 

Rashmi and Vijay have enjoyed a long time of companionship. They have a very endearing relationship. They pray for each other’s health and success. Rashmi wants to get married, and so does Vijay. Rashmi and Vijay plan to go to her father to ask for her hand in marriage. Rasmi’s father happily agrees because he has known Vijay and liked him. He understands that his love for Rashmi is genuine and that he can provide a comfortable life for her. They also inform Vijay’s brother and sister-in-law. They happily accept this relationship. Rashmi’s father is ecstatic and wants to extend the news of her daughter’s marriage to others. He informs his best friend, Indrajit. Surprisingly, Indrajit does not take this news in a good way. He advises his friend to back off from this marriage. Indrajit feels that Vijay is not a good man for Rashmi. As Rashmi is like her daughter, he wants her to be happy. Indrajit warns him about Vijay. Rashmi’s father ignores his warnings and goes ahead with the wedding.

A few days before the wedding, Vijay gets the case of Shekhar, a drug smuggler who has been caught for killing 5 men. He claims innocence and wants Vijay to fight this case. Vijay reluctantly agrees. Vijay marries Rasmi, and they have a good time together. They are happy with their new lives. Meanwhile, Shekhar is killed in the hospital by the actual killer, JK. JK is a dangerous criminal and is feared by all. JK gets to know that Vijay will be fighting a case against him with Shekhar for murder. He sends his goons to kill Vijay. However, during the shooting, the shooter misses his aim and shoots Rashmi accidentally. Rashmi dies on the spot. Vijay is heartbroken and depressed. Rashmi’s father regrets their marriage and thinks he should have listened to Indrajit. 

This fuels anger and revenge in Vijay, and he aims to put JK behind bars anyhow. He tries but cannot collect any evidence against him. Finally, he thinks of killing himself to reunite with Rashmi. Before Vijay can kill himself, he receives a call from one of his fans who wants to give him evidence against JK. He informs Vijay that during the shooting of the 5 men, one waitress had seen JK killing them. Now they have proof against him. Now Vijay finds a reason to live. The story proceeds to a legal trial against JK to put him behind bars. They have to overcome many challenges as JK tries to kill him with every step he takes against him.
