Lakshmi Sadaiv Mangalam is a story about a cheerful girl Lakshmi who has a positive outlook towards life. She is an orphan and lives with his aunt, uncle, and grandmother. Her aunt and uncle always humiliate her and make her do all the household work but her grandmother Hirabai is her only source of strength. Hirabai is worried about her prospects of marriage as her uncle and aunt do not want to lose a free servant.
She is forcibly married to Shodhan, who lives in a city. Lakshmi tries to cope with her married life and adjust to city ways. What will happen when the third person enters the life of Lakshmi and Shodhan?
