Rod Ragini is an Indian TV serial in the Assamese language. It aired on the Rang TV channel. Malay Paban and Srahin Borah have produced this show under Pride East Entertainment Media House and Aadi Shyam Productions. It comes under the genres of Drama and Romance. The story revolves around Rod and Ragini. Rod is a businessman who lives in the city. He is a young and handsome man. He comes from a wealthy background and has grown up in the city, without much knowledge of village life. Ragini is a village girl. She lives in a village without much knowledge about the city. Ragini is a young, shy, and decent girl. She is a traditional and cultured girl.

One day, Rod and his friends come to the village for work. There, Rod meets Ragini. He falls in love with her at first sight. Rod is attracted to Ragini’s courtesy and innocence. He has never met a girl like Ragini before. To ghetto know her better, he extends his stay in the village. During his stay, Rod and Ragini become friends. Ragini also starts liking Rod. Rod wants to marry her, and Ragini accepts his proposal. Ragini’s family is happy as they like Rod. However, Rod’s family is surprised by his decision. Rod’s family wants him to marry a city girl. Rod has a friend who liked Rod but never expressed it. She gets jealous that Rod chose a village girl over her.

Rod and Ragini marry against Rod’s family’s wishes. They live in the same house. Rod’s family tries to create misunderstandings between Rod and Ragini to break their marriage breaks. Initially, Ragini solved the misunderstandings, and they lived a happy life. However, with time, Rod’s family started scheming against Ragini. Rod becomes cold towards Ragini. They become distant. Rod expresses that he is disappointed in her and that he hates her. Hearing this, Ragini gets heartbroken, and she leaves home. She goes away to stay at her relative’s home.

Rod does not know that Ragini was pregnant before leaving his house. Ragini had tried telling him, but Rod had fought with her. After 5 to 6 years, he accidentally discovers that Ragini is a good person and that his family is the culprit. Rod got to know that Ragini was pregnant with his child. He gets remorseful and emotional. Rod madly wants to meet his wife and child. After searching a lot for Ragini, he met his daughter and got to know that Ragini had died due to childbirth. Rod was heartbroken. He blames himself for Ragini’s death. However, he is united with his child and promises to love and cherish her.
