Shyama is a story about a dusky girl who is a singer and musician. She aspires to become a great singer one day. It is a romantic thriller, adapted from a Bengali serial named Krishnakoli. Shyama is a charming and talented girl. She helps everyone but people hate her because of her dusky complexion. In the promo, it was shown that she likes to bask in the sun, and she asks her friends also to do the same. But they deny by saying that they will also become dark and dusky, just like her, if they go out in the sun. Shyama’s mother also scolds her.
