Sangeet Samraat is the most popular singing competition show in Maharashtra. Anyone below 50 years old can participate. The show introduces several fresh and impressive singers. The selected singers compete with each other intensely. Each episode features them singing their rendition of popular and challenging songs. The judges judge them and advise them on how to perform better. The judges point out their inefficiencies so that they can correct them. Based on the voice quality, song choice, performance, stage presence, and versatility, the judges score them. As per these scores, the candidates can move forward in the show. There are multiple rounds in the show. With each round, the challenges become difficult.

To participate in the show, the producers hold auditions in almost every city of Maharashtra. The judges travel there to take auditions. Every participant gets an opportunity to showcase their talent. The judges come across hundreds of candidates who deserve to join the show.
