Reply 1988 is a Korean drama that aired on Fridays and Saturdays on TVN. The 20-episode serial got telecasted from 6^th November 2015 to 16^th January 2016. It is the third installment of Reply that aired on TVN. It is one of the highest-rated Korean dramas. Written by Loo Woo Jung, the series is directed by Shin Won Ho.

Lee Hye-Ri played the role of Sung Duk-seon / Sung Soo-yeo. Sung was the only girl in her friends' group of five. She is not a bright student but cares for her buddies well.

Park Bo-gum plays the role of Choi Taek. Choi is an International Baduk player. He is reticent. Although he is an extraordinary player, he could not do his daily chores easily. As he was busy in his sports, he had gone a long way from the people of his age group. Later, he feels worried about missing the important things in his life.

Go Kyung-Pyo plays the role of Sung Sun-woo. Sung Sun is an ideal son and a caring brother. He is dependent on his mother, who takes care of them as a single mother after their father’s death. He is a good friend and helps everyone.

Ryu Jun-Yeol plays the role of Kim Jung-hwan. Kim is an athlete, and he takes the responsibility to fulfill his elder brother’s dreams, who has some health issues. He is sarcastic and a person with an attitude.

Lee Dong-Hwi plays the role of Ryu Dong-Ryong. Ryu is a multi-talented person who loves to dance and sing. He always cracks jokes at his friends. Both of his parents are working, and hence they couldn’t care for him all the time, and he feels that he is left alone.
