The show took the audience to a humorous journey, on a comedy love story. It’s a story about a lazy boy named Titu. People address him as Nikhattu as he is very lazy. It’s a journey about how a lazy boy understands his responsibilities and goes for work.

Titu is the lead character of the show. His father Govind Narayan is so rich, so his son thinks he doesn’t need to work. His father always scolds him for not doing any work whereas his mother makes him lazier by doing all his works. Titu is very famous among girls and among them Panchi is also one.

Panchi is a girl who was grown up by seeing Bollywood movies, and she believes in love stories. She is excited to meet her dream boy. One day Panchi goes to the magic show which is arranged by Titu. The magician calls Panchi on stage, but all of sudden a bull frightens the magician and audience and comes charging towards Panchi. Titu saves Panchi from bull and from then Panchi falls for Titu. Titu’s father gets angry on Titu deeds as he made a loss of 1lakh in a magic show, so he threatens Titu to take his bike away if he fails in the exams. Later the Titu's result gets exchanged with Panchi’s so Titu’s father apologies to Kamles (Panchi’s father). Govind Narayan reprimands Titu by seeing the result.

Later on Panchi tries to share her feelings for Titu to her best friend.. But Panchi comes to know that Tiu likes someone else so as a friend Panchi helps Titu to impress Ruhi. Titu’s heart gets broken when he learns that Ruhi is in love with someone else. Meanwhile, Titu marriage get settle with Panchi.

Titu doesn’t have any feelings for Panchi and even on marriage day Titu disappears but later he was successful to reach on time to a venue, and they get married. So in this way, Titu and Panchi married life gets started. But Titu's dad is very upset with Titu for being lazy and unemployed so Panchi promises his dad that she will make Titu to go for work. Panchi puts lots of effects to make him work and in meanwhile Titu realises that he loves Panchi.

So the whole story goes on in making Titu to work, to change him from lazy boy to working man. The story ends up in a positive way where Panchi gives birth to a child i.e another Nikhattu

About the main leads Titu’s role was played by Priyanshu Jora A charming young boy born on 13 November 1991 in R >> Read More... . Jora was born in Rajasthan and completed his education in Delhi. His first appearance on television was in UTV Bindass reality show Super Stud. He was then later seen in the show ‘24’ as Rohit.

In Tu Mera Hero, it was his third appearance on screen. He will soon be seen in upcoming show Bade Bhaiya Ki Dulhania.
