Damini is an Assamese emotional drama TV serial that aired on Rang TV in 2018. It is a women-centric show that reveals how strong and brave a woman can be. A woman can overcome any challenge that appears in front of her with strong determination. The story is about Damini, a cheerful and responsible woman and wife. Shantanu and Damini have been married since ten years but could not start a family because Damini cannot carry a child, she was barren. Yet she was considered a very important part of the house, every decision had to be made through her. She amazingly manages all the household work and also keeps the family together. Damini is loved and adored by everyone in the family. But still she felt disappointed and incomplete with herself because of her infertility.

She felt even more upset upon finding out that her husband Shantanu, has another wife and family apart from Damini. Damini’s world came crashing down with this news but being an understanding person she talked to Shantanu and decided to bring his second family home. Although everyone was against this, she manages to bring Madri and Bhairab (second wife and son) into their family. Madri is insecure of Damini being the first wife and also the matriarch of the family. She plans to take over her position and starts to manipulate Shantanu. Will Madri’s ill-intentions create problems between Damini and Shantanu?
