which is dubbed from a Kannada movie Mr. Theertha. The lead role of Rowdy Simha is played by Sudeep. The movie was set to hit the box office on 19th November 2017.
Plot :
The story focuses on the character played by Sudeep (Theertha), who is the son of a mathematics teacher. He wants his son also to be a mathematician, but Theertha is very fascinated by mechanicals and has always scored low on his father’s subject. This inculcates a feeling of irritation and anger which increases even more as his kid grows up. Theertha is sent out of his house and faces a lot of difficulties in life from then. How does he overcome the situations?
Star performance :
After giving such a captivating performance with his negative role in the film Eega, the actor Sudeep is back to give yet another great performance in ‘Rowdy Simha’. Saloni is paired opposite Sudeep in this action entertainer. Sudeep essays the title role in this film fighting the bad elements of the society.
Analysis :
It had no distributors to come forward and buy it for several weeks. This made it even more clear that Mr.Teertha is a remake of the Malayalam film Spadikam (which released about 15 years back) and offers nothing new. This film has also been further dubbed in Hindi as ‘Rowdy Shankar’.
What’s there?
1. The Telugu rights have been bought by SJR Prasad and are directed by Sadhu Kokila.
2. The makers had planned to launch the audio in October second week, and aimed at releasing it at the same month end.
What’s not there?
1. There has been minimum or no change in the plot.
2. The entire film was in predictable lines.
Verdict :
Saloni and Sudeep’s audience has given a great response. The storyline being the same, unless you are Saloni and Sudeep’s fans you wouldn’t appreciate the movie.
