Plot
Raghava Reddy, a criminology professor, is consulted by the Vizag authorities after drug trafficking wreaks havoc in the city. Known for his curious yet firm demeanor, Raghava promises to help them but on his terms. Unfortunately, drugs are not the only opponent in Raghava's way.
Star Performances
Siva Kantamaneni as the main protagonist, does justice to his role. As a no-nonsense investigator, he applies both the brains and the brawns as required.
Nanditha Swetha as Mahalakshmi/ Lucky is probably the only artist who has done justice with her role.
Analysis
A menace that needs to be eliminated at any cost, and an intelligent protagonist who is equally adept at tackling goons. Estranged relations that plague the protagonist more than the villains. Hmmm, where have we heard this before? Oh wait, that's almost every commercial potboiler since time immemorial!
As a screenplay, 'Raghava Reddy' has almost nothing new to offer. It seems promising on paper but falters when it needs to deliver the most. Sanjeev's treatment of the storyline is predictable, leaving viewers wanting for more. Despite being only 2 hours and 2 minutes long, the movie was not the adrenaline-pumping action drama it claimed to be.
The first half takes too long to build the narrative. The director seemed to focus more on building the image around the main protagonist rather than building curiosity with the small yet crucial clues. That is the least you can offer in an investigative drama. The integration of emotional elements is also not smooth, leaving it to look botched and half-hearted. Even the comic sequences from actors Srinivas and Bittiri could not make up for the mess created.
By the time the director realized the need to speed things up, it was too late, and even what was offered was too little. Had it not been for the performances of Siva Kantamaneni as Professor Reddy and Nanditha Swetha as Lucky, the movie was only a whisker away from being a disaster.

' or 'HIT' franchise, but it chose the easier way out. The results are for everyone to see. The efforts of Siva Kantamaneni were just not enough to hide the flaws of a wafer-thin storyline. You can watch this movie only if you seek some classic commercial entertainment.
