Plot
Chitra has come to Hyderabad in search of her love. However, a national lockdown leaves her stranded. As she somehow comes to terms with the situation, her aunt is infected with COVID-19 as well.
Chitra is now left all alone with her brother-in-law Chinna. An unlikely romance develops between the two. Is Chitra ready to traverse this path?
Star Performances
Amongst the flurry of pandemic movies released in the past 2 to 3 years, Nagaraj Bodem's movie stands out for his approach to the interpersonal relationship angle during this pandemic.
The lead actors Chandni and Manoj also do justice to their roles, making their chemistry likable.
Analysis
Whether for good or for bad, the COVID-19 pandemic that struck the world in 2020 had a huge impact. When the first wave struck following the national lockdown, everything came to a grinding halt.
As such, how could our cinema industry be left behind? Since 2021, at least one movie based on the pandemic came out quarterly, if not monthly. Yet, '14 Days Love' is a movie with a difference. Not every day do you see a romantic film set in quarantine isolation, do you?
The subject itself demanded absolute care. On this note, Nagaraj Bodem has done a decent job. He has kept the narrative restrained yet effective enough to keep the audience engaged. If the focus was on how the pandemic affected human relationships on a personal level, this movie has done pretty well in that respect.
The movie is quirky yet has its vision crystal clear. Another great part about this movie is that it doesn't claim to be perfect. The screenplay is such that you would find it okay to even ignore the flaws, if any.
The only drawback that prevented this movie from becoming near perfect is the editing in some places. Despite being less than 2 hours long, some of the sequences look like they were deliberately skipped for editing, i.e. they weren't required at all.

What's Not There?
Verdict
'14 Days Love' is a unique concept implemented the right way. It is nowhere near flawless, but the sweet romance, in a rather unusual situation, more than makes up for it. If you want some simple entertainment, '14 Days Love' is your film!
