Actor Vimal is one of the many actors who took un-credited roles during his lucrative film careers. When he was seen in films like ‘Ghilli’, ‘Kuruvai’ and ‘Kireedam’, it was a seemingly bizarre career choice for the actor. But that is just only half the story. Later on, when the actor understood that such roles may not see any logic behind his career for lack of acknowledgement he gets, he fetched more credits as an actor by appearing in films like ‘Pasanga’ and ‘Kalavani’ and his role in subsequent films such as ‘Eththan’ and ‘Vaagai Sooda Vaa’, allowed him to fulfill the appetites of the audience and he got noticed as an actor. He only acted in realistic roles in many movies and slowly climbed the ladder of success by signing half-a –dozes of projects year after year. 

In between 2011 and 2015, he never felt in want of any roles as he was booked in advance for many movies. Naturally, there have been cases where his presence even in a minimal role could overshadow the entirety of the film. For those reasons and more, the un-credited role had become a choice of this actor in early stages of his career. He naturally got designed roles as an actor for the audiences where he was noticed with big names of Tamil cinema. Such films where he got huge appreciation include ‘Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga’, ‘Rendavadhu Padam’, ‘Sillunu Oru Sandhippu’, ‘Koothu’, ‘Moondru Per Moondru Kaadhal’. His fans and loyalist have given him the title of 'Junior Kadhal Mannan’ (the original Kadhal Mannan being late actor Gemini Ganesan). He was born on January 1, 1980, in Tiruchirappalli. He is married to Priyadarsini, with who he was in love. Since the girl’s parents did not want their daughter to marry an actor, Priyadarsini left to Kumbakonam where the actor was shooting for a film and tied a knot in a temple.
