Plot

A pig statue is said to have been brought from China some hundred years ago. It is believed that it has magical powers, but none know about its whereabouts. Devaraj, an aspiring filmmaker who has an exciting script, tries to sell it through a gangster named Sagavaram. While they deal with Jaffer and Needhi Murugan, the cops arrive there. Devaraj doesn't know that he has a clue about the statue. Later, he realizes and starts searching for it. What happened next? Did anyone get that statue? The rest of the film deals with it.

Star Performance

The new entrants tried to give their best, but they couldn't. Nishanth and Vijay could have tried a little more to avoid the fact that they are freshers.

Analysis

The director has come up with a different script. But, the screenplay, execution, and performances didn't help the film to get an appreciation from the audience. The actors are amateurish, and the execution is weak too. The characters are not designed well. While they mouth the dialogues, they appear to be enacting a school play. It would have been better if the actors had tried to give a natural performance. We couldn't conclude with it, as the direction team might not have given them enough training or hadn't got the right work. The music is okayish, and the cinematography is quite decent.

Verdict

With a good plot on their hands, the team should have made more effort to make the film appeal better. However, we have to appreciate their attempt to bring a different script.
