Plot
Sivathanupuram people are getting ready for the Panchayat board elections. Before the elections, the government announced it as an independent constituency. So, a biggie in the town decides to make his employee a contestant and make him win the elections and bring the town under his control. But, the employee’s would-be daughter-in-law opposes this, and she contests in the election. To stop her victory, they plan something. But the people in the town started protesting against them. Who won the election?
Star Performance
Madhumitha’s performance is the pillar of the film. She did her part excellently. She is good at delivering emotional dialogues. Raja Lingam is okay in his role. Velmurugan’s comedy didn’t work out. Parotta Murugesan is good in his character role.
Analysis
The concept is good, but there are a lot of loopholes. The director wanted to showcase how the weaker section of society is used. Some scenes are cinematic. Some unwanted scenes are inserted for commercial purposes, which may not be suitable for family audiences. The district collector is shown as a dummy character, and some more characters are not at all needed for the film, including the villain’s wife and the comedian. The comedy and some commercial scenes are not necessary, and it can be cropped. Also, some characters are shown as casteist. It didn’t sync well.
