Plot
Raghu is affected psychologically after he lost his people. When he finds anyone suffering, he considers them his family, and saves them without any second thought. Malathy falls in love with Raghu after seeing his kind heart. Soon, Raghu’s helping tendency fades, which makes Malathy distance herself from him. Raghu starts feeling lonely and decides to end his life. Meanwhile, a powerful smuggling gang enters Tamilnadu with illegal weapons. They store the arms in a factory, which the NIA wants to destroy. To destroy the smugglers and their illegal arms factory, NIA utilizes Raghu, who decided to commit suicide. What happened next? Will Raghu complete the mission? Will he be saved?
Star Performance
Sivakarthikeyan is good in emotional and action sequences. Rukmini Vasanth did what was required of her without overacting. Vidyut Jamwal and Shabeer Kallarakkal excelled in their negative roles. Vidyut looks stylish as ever. Biju Menon is good in his role, despite the minimum screen time, and the same goes for Vikranth.
Analysis
AR Murugadoss is back to Kollywood after half a decade. His screenplay and execution are okay. Too many songs put a hurdle to the story’s flow. Anirudh’s BGM is okay. Many portions needed to be trimmed to make the film crisper. The second half didn’t have an energetic start. The climax portions are predictable with less engaging elements. Although the villains are good with their menacing performances, the repetitive elements are unimpressive. The same goes for certain dialogues, when Raghu helps others. There are a lot of logical loopholes, too.
