Jagat is a 2015 Tamil Crime Drama movie basically from Malaysia. The film was directed by Shanjhey Kumar Perumal and produced by Skyzen studios.

Plot: The movie revolves around Appoi. He is a child with a very creative mindset but does not have much patience to focus on studies. His parents believe that education is the only way to success and forces him to study. But, the school is not a place for children like Appoi and he fails to counter with the rusty environment of his school. Soon, he leaves school and starts his journey in seek of knowledge and perseverance. He used to get much attention when he stayed with his parents, but now since he is all by himself, nobody gives him an eye, and he is frustrated by this. He starts acting weirdly to prove himself. The story progresses with the many struggles he faces to know his purpose.

Analysis: The movie tends to show the conditions of Tamil Malaysians in the early 1990s. It is beautifully carved and tends to show every single detail about the plight of the residents. The harsh environment is very well created in the studio. The story is firm and appealing and is quite realistic. It does not have many songs, and you will not even need it to entertain you. The story is unique and based on reality, hence is very interesting. Shanjhey Kumar Perumal has kept the movie mysterious, and you will crawl for more after every shot. The climax is, however, very predictable as it is based on a reality and does not have any twist. Also, the movie is fast and won't let you get off your seat for a second.

Star Performances: Jibrail Rajhula is the lead character in the movie, and he is leaves you spellbound with his acting. He has very efficiently expressed the intense emotions. The direction has been exceptional, and Shanjhey has kept the movie on track in both the halves. He has also conceptualized a realistic story into an entertaining package, and he should be appreciated for that. Kamal Sabran has given the background score, and the movie lacks behind in this criteria. Kumarann Amurugam has been very well with his editing and is the sole reason behind movie's effectiveness.

What's there? The movie has is based in a reality and shows you enough reality to make it interesting. The direction has been extraordinary and keeps the pace fast enough to get the audience occupied. The cinematography has been amazing, and the vitals are beautifully presented.

What's not there? The movie is 'A' rated and will appeal only to audience. It lacks only in music, and it could have been a bit more energetic considering the level of the movie. Also, those who are expecting a surprise in the climax might get disappointed.

Verdict: The movie is great with its facts and visuals and will entertain you to the core. It is a must watch, and you don't want to miss it.
