Plot

Dr Indran is a popular psychiatrist with a good record of curing patients. One of his patients, who came to his clinic, shot him, saying that he didn’t treat him properly. Although he is alive, his license to practice medicine gets cut. Besides this, he loses his family as well as his voice. Selvam is a visually challenged person who has been working as a clerk in the library and trying to pass in his higher studies. Vinod is a young cricket coach. Pooja is the sister of Vinod’s friend and is the tutor of Selvam. A connection is between all these characters and they suffer from a serious issue. What’s that? How are they connected? The answers reveal the rest of the story.

Star Performance

Arjun Das is fantastic in the given role. Vinoth did his best and he handled the character well as a visually challenged person. Pooja Ramachandran is good with the sensible role and impressed the audience. Kumar Natarajan fits well as a psychiatrist and has given an outstanding performance, effortlessly.

Analysis

The movie starts with a different narrative style. The script and the screenplay by the debutant director are quite impressive. The characters are well designed and every star is handpicked for the characters. The BGM is excellent and the production design is perfect for the supernatural thriller. The cinematography makes us travel along with the film and creates some expectations for the next scene, especially while showing the red droplets and the old phone.

• The story is new and interesting
• Narration is different and impressive
• The stars fit well in the role and their performances are good

What’s Not There?

• No eerie scenes
• The connectivity between the characters should have been better
• The length of the film is a big minus

Verdict

Although some interesting elements are missing in the film, the director has made the audience glued to their seats. If some reasons explained in the film had been strong, the movie might have attracted more audience.
