Plot
Rajiv, Varsha, and their kid Rahul move to a new apartment, 7/G. Rajiv is an IT employee and earns well. People who envy his growth, plan to pull him down. However, there is no need to do that, as the apartment where they live has some issues. After making the housewarming ceremony, Rajiv had to go to Bangalore for some office work. Varsha and Rahul try to manage without Rahul’s presence in the apartment. However, Varsha feels that she and her son are not alone in the house and somebody is with them. What happens to the mom and son? Were they attacked? The rest of the film showcases the story of 7/G, the residents, and a spirit.
Star Performance
Sonia Agarwal’s performance as Manjula is neat. Her expressions are good. Smruthi excels in her role, Varsha. She emotes well the fear, tension to save her kid, and feelings after knowing the entire story. Subramaniam Siva and Siddharth Vipin are okay in their roles.
Analysis
The director has tried a lot to bring a refreshing horror setting in an urban locality. However, scenes like malfunctioning escalators and taking the same floor again and again make the audience feels like they are watching scenes from similar genre movies. If the director maintained the same momentum of the first 30 minutes throughout the film, it might have joined the list of favourite horror films like 13B. The characters should have been designed well. Though a few scare scenes worked, the screenplay didn’t bring anything interesting, after a few scenes. Usually, these horror films come with a justification from the spirit’s point of view, and this one is also no exception. The negative part should’ve been written well, to add depth to show the character’s negativity. The dialogues are so artificial and in some places unnecessary dialogues are written to explain the scenes, though the viewer can understand it without such dialogues. The flashback scenes are also not impressively made.

Verdict
If the writing had been better with some unique scenes, the film would’ve joined the favourite horror films list. Though the second half lacks grip, for the first half, the film can be watched once!
