Raahee Movie Review

Abhijith S edited the film, and Soni Acharya composed the music. The visual effects are by Shivaprasad L, and the dialogues are by Harsha.

Shiva Girish is the film’s lead cast. Ashwini, Nandini, Stanly, Chethan M G, Saligrama Chandru, and Raghu play supporting roles.

Plot

The film revolves around Raahee. He is the son of a former forest policeman and is a charitable and helpful person. While most of his friends have left the village and migrated to the city, Raahee loves spending time in the forest. He is a nature lover. He aims to protect all the plants and animals in the forest.

One day, he gets to know about the massive smuggling of tiger skin, sandalwood, ivory, and other forest items. He further investigates and finds that there are two men behind this smuggling – Kaada and Pandeyji. He also learned that there is a link between Pandeyji and his father’s death.

Rahee decides to catch these two men and put an end to this smuggling. Will he be able to stop this smuggling? What other challenges will Kaada and Pandeyji create for Raahee? Why did Pandeyji kill Rahee’s father?

Star Performance

Shiva Girish, who played the role of Raahee, gave a good performance. He lacks expressions in some scenes, but it does not have much impact on his overall performance. His performance looks natural and realistic in most of the scenes.

Vandana gave a fantastic performance. She looks beautiful on the screen, and her dialogue delivery is excellent. Saligrama Chandru, Nandini, and the rest of the cast executed their part as required.

Analysis

Raahee is a message-oriented movie. It tries to spread awareness among the viewers about the need to protect the forests and the environment. Shiva Girish is the real strength of this film. The film has heart-touching songs which are shot in beautiful locations. The storyline and cinematography are a plus point for this film. However, the second half could be better. The film loses its pace after a good first half. Moreover, the action scenes in this film are below average.

Verdict

The whole film revolves around Raahee, justifying its title. It is basically a public awareness movie that focuses on forest protection. The ending reveals the secret behind the death of Raahee’s father. There are many action scenes that will entertain you. Watch this film if you love nature. It is a one-time watch film.
