Gahana” is the supernatural thriller scripted and directed by Preith Hassan. The film has Adhithya Shetty and Sharanya Gowda in the lead roles.

Ananya is a college student. When her college life is going well, she suddenly started experiencing some weird events in her life. She hears the voice of the dead people and they talk with her. Why does she hear those voices? Are they torturing her? Did she get her issue solved? Watch the film to know these answers.

Star Performance

Amateurish performance by the stars

The makers didn’t script the story well. The screenplay has a lot of loopholes. Started as a fun-filled campus story, it jumped into the murder mystery and then the horror genre. Finally, it touches the social message too. The film picks up the speed in the second half with a twist. That twist brings a social message. However, the stars didn’t perform well and hence there is no value for at least one of the genres used in the film.

What’s There?

  • Comes with a social message

What’s Not There?

  • Amateurish performances by the stars
  • Script and screenplay are unimpressive

Sometimes the films reach the audiences, not for the story and direction, but performance. Many films had received appreciation for the performances from the critics as well as the audiences. As this film has zero performance with a weak story and screenplay, it didn’t impress!
