Plot
The movie’s story is about a girl named Nimmo. She is a beautiful young lady, probably in her 20’s. Nimmo faces a lot of dilemmas in her love story. Hemu is a little kid perhaps in his pre teens. He falls in love with Nimmo. Nimmo is perhaps ten or fifteen years older. She is also her ex- babysitter. However, she faces contradictions in her love story as she falls for a man who is ten-twenty years older than Nimmo. The man is also divorced. So her family doesn’t accept her relationship. On the other hand, they think what Hemu feels for Nimmo is childish and funny. He tried everything that he could to give his best to win Nimmo’s heart. However, Nimmo didn’t take him seriously at all.
Star performance
The main lead in the movie is Nimmo. Anjali Patil played her character in the story. Her acting was deep and she delivered a nuanced performance. Anjali’s chemistry with other supporting cast was impressive as well. She nicely balanced the emotions of her character. Other important character is Hemu. Karan Dave played Hemu’s character. Karan has done an amazing acting. His character made the story line more meaningful. Out of all the actors, the Karan despite being a kid performed exceptionally.
Other supporting cast includes Aryan Mishra, Sunayana Agarwal, Amar Singh Parihar, Sarika Nayak, Vivek Pandey, Rana Pratap Sengar, Anshul Thakur, Late Asha Tiwari, Sitaram Soni, Arun Pandey, Saroj Nayak, Suraj Rai Suraj, Sunita Sengar and Bhavna Sengar. They did average work in the movie.
Analysis
Meri Nimmo is a fantastic movie. The film’s storyline is realistic and original. The film has an exciting yet intelligent plot. The script’s execution in the movie is excellent as well. The actors in the movie were fabulous as they neatly balanced the chemistry with each others. The little boy, Hemu’s character is a symbolism of the innocence of childhood. He gave a naunced performance. However, movie’s pace is short. It should have been at least two hours. The movie’s plot is pretty unpredictable and interesting. But the only thing that is disappointing is its ending as it was not satisfactory. It could have been better.
The movie’s script has depth as the emotions of the characters were shown. Through the film, the makers showed the paradox of marriage in Indian society. The movie has fantastic cinematography. The film’s soundtracks are also unique as the music rhyme with its intense and comedic tone.
