Plot

Ishan was a theatre artist who was from a scheduled community. He goes missing all of a sudden without leaving any traces of evidence. Though his family refuses that he is not involved in any political party, the police inquire about him to his family from that angle. His girlfriend, Ankita, was seen last with him. But, the police didn’t interrogate her due to her connection with a politician. Vidhi, a journalist, starts investigating the case, and what she gathers is something larger than it appears. What happens next? Did she find Ishan? The rest of the story deals with this.

Star Performance

Yami looked good as a reporter and did justice to the given role. Rahul Khanna, Tushar Pandey, and Piaa Bajpai also fit well in the given characters and impressed the audience. It is Pankaj Kapur who attracted the entire audience with his exemplary performance.

Analysis

Though the film comes with significant political issues, it mainly focuses on the problems a journalist faces while handling a case. Who all support her and who all stop her are shown well with neatly punched dialogues. She had to meet all the odds in her job, both at home and in society. So, the character is intensely designed, and Yami is an apt choice. The music is one of the biggest plus points in the film, as it elevates the tension in the situation well and keeps the audience engaged. The cinematography and editing are good. The film is perfectly balanced by the script, direction, actors and production, and technical values.
