Plot
A businessman is held captive by a goon in a phone booth. However, he isn't just held as a hostage; the secrets of his life come out in open.
Star Performances
The star cast of the movie is pretty strong. They have done a great job in portraying the various characters that they possess. Irrfan Khan has done a brilliant job at posing to be the victim, and Sanjay Dutt has really played his role with immense intensity and attitude. Irrfan Khan and Sanjay Dutt have had a very nice bonding and chemistry in the movie that makes the movie very much believable and convincing when you watch it.
Analysis
This movie isn't just some random thriller story with absolutely no purpose. This film has a moral message for the benefit of the society. The movies can handle this societal problem with full conviction.
What’s there?
The film is successful enough in holding your attention for quite a long time without letting you get bored at any point of time. The script has a lot of potential that encompasses and intrigues throughout the movie and keeps you on the edge of a seat.
What’s not there?
The only thing that disappoints you is that the script of the movie isn't original and is blatantly plagiarized. The original movie is Phonebooth, and the makers of Knock Out have nowhere acknowledged any kind of inspiration that they may have taken from this movie. Therefore, the so-called brilliance of this movie (which could have been a beautiful one)Â goes down the drain because it no more is an original piece.
Verdict
In spite of being a remake of the movie Phonebooth, this movie remains a one-time watch.
