Mahesh Manjrekar And Sanjay Dutt To Reunite For Remake?

According to the recent reports, Sanjay Dutt will be working with one of his favorite directors after more than 20 years! Mahesh Manjrekar has approached the actor for his next project, and if he succeeds, the two legends will be working together on the film soon.

Mahesh had made a film Juna Furniture last year, a family drama which was moderately successful at the box office. Now he is planning to bring it on a larger scale in Bollywood, with Sanjay Dutt in the lead role.

Mahesh Manjrekar hit it out of the park in 1999, when he made his directorial debut with Vaastav : The Reality, which also starred Sanjay Dutt in the lead role. The movie was an unexpected success at the box office, and Mahesh Manjrekar slowly established a legacy for himself in both Marathi and Hindi cinema. Mahesh and Sanjay worked together on multiple movies until 2005, when Sanjay starred as an uber cool version of Yamraj in Vaah! Life ho to Aisi.

Apart from directing movies, Mahesh Manjrekar is also a capable actor, who has acted in several movies across different languages. He was most recently seen in the Tamil action drama Coolie, which starred Rajinikanth in the lead role.
