Plot
In the film, Leah Vaughn is initially in a loving relationship with Dave King, and she also has a successful career as a lobbyist. However, later she breaks up with her boyfriend Dave because he does not want to start a family like she does. She is heartbroken after the breakup, but two months later she meets another charming man named Carter Duncan. Carter Duncan works in IT. The two quickly develop a bond, and Carter easily charms and leaves an impression on Leah’s friends and family. However, a frightening incident takes place one day when Leah and Carter are on a trip back home. This incident makes Leah question Carter’s true nature. At a gas station, a stranger asks Leah for Carter’s charger, but Carter gets aggressive and attacks the man. All this, just because he spoke to Leah. Leah is disturbed by this incident and breaks up with Carter. After this, Carter stalks her at her job and calls her numerous times, even when she changes her phone number. Carter breaks into her house without her knowledge. He not only goes through her things but also abducts her cat. Leah reaches out to the police and there she meets Detective Hansen who tells her to keep a record of any further attempts made by Carter to contact her. She then finds a rose and a note with a threatening message attached to her car. She files a restraining order against him which makes Carter lose his job. Dave contacts Leah and wants to reconnect with her and rekindle their relationship, to which Leah agrees. The rest of the film shows a series of events that are all caused by Carter, while Leah’s life is threatened more and more.
Star Performance
Sanaa Lathan has acted excellently in the film. Morris Chestnut’s performance also had no flaws and was brilliant.
Analysis
The actors in the film are attractive, but not only that, even their acting is excellent. However, Ealy’s emotional expressions are too limited. The costumes for the actors are aesthetically pleasing to look at and very fashionable. The things that happen after Leah breaks up with Carter happen too quickly, and there is no time to catch our breath during these scenes. Carter’s personality shifts in the blink of an eye, but of course, that makes it realistic as some anti-social personalities are that way. There is not much character development to the character of Dave King. All he does is just conveniently comes in to save the day.

Verdict
This film is exciting, and I recommend this to all thriller/horror genre lovers.
