. The movie has a huge cast. There are debutant actors in the movie. The movie draws inspiration from the article ‘The Suspects Wore Louboutins’ written by Nancy Jo Sales. The article deals with a real-life gang by name Bling Ring. The movie was premiered at Cannes Film Festival. The movie saw limited theatrical release on June 14th. Then, the movie had a worldwide release on June 21, 2013. The movie happened to be the final work of the camera operator Harris Savides, who died while postproduction schedules were on. The movie is a fitting tribute to the late cinematographer Israel Broussard, Katie Chang. and Taissa Farmige do adolescents who are madly after fame. The young gang uses the web to find out the location of celebrities. After tracing the location, the gang goes on a robbing spree.
The movie lacks a plot, and the audiences are disappointed to see adolescent children messing around with shoes and bags. The screen presence of the characters is not felt. They are seen doing some petty activities, and the dialogues get on the nerves. Audiences cannot make out whether the story depicts teenagers wanting to lead a posh life or whether there is no story at all. Audiences can be seen squirming and fidgeting in their seats ready to flee the exits. The performances by the adolescents make you feel like you want to slap them. The movie direction is average, and color schemes in the movie are not quite plausible. The movie lacks action scenes. All that the audiences can do is sit and watch the teenagers creating a ruckus in posh houses. Also, the director has messed up the courtroom scene that hardly lasts for 5 seconds. Actress Enna Watson appears as a celebrity as she is in real life. But, why did she choose a movie like this?
Verdict:The audience can opt for a shopping spree on a nice weekend rather than spoiling the weekend with a movie as mediocre as this.
