POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, directed by Morgan Spurlock Morgan Spurlock is a multi-talented American citiz >> Read More... , is a documentary that is made on the themes of advertising and marketing. It is screened at Sundance Film Festival and Hot Docs Canadian International Film Festival.

Plot

Morgan Spurlock’s docu-film is all about branding. About 80% of the film shows how Morgan used his talking skills to lure the sponsors and got them to dish out finances in the first place. The remaining is on the subject of product placement.

Star Performances and Analysis

Morgan Spurlock comes out as witty and fast-mouthed. He uses those abilities to pitch in his ideas to companies and make them sponsor for his film. He distinctly explains how cinema uses advertising. Robert Downey Jr One of the Hollywood’s elite and utmost paid actor >> Read More... . is eating a specific company’s burger in the movie ‘ Iron Man Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ is all part of a technique called ‘co-promotion’. He eats that burger, and that burger outlet keeps banners of his film - all part of the promotion.

What’s there?

1. Morgan Spurlock
2.Morgan's style of comedy
3.Cameos from many advertising & non-advertising figures.

What’s not there?

I can’t say what’s not there because this flick is the first of its kind. Maybe the conclusion isn’t totally convincing. But come on, one can’t just wrap up marketing in a single scene!

Verdict

Watch it because it’s one of a kind and doesn’t get too much attached with political and moral realms.
