Analysis
Cadaver is a reasonably okay horror movie at it's very best. It's not entirely scary or captivating in the way a horror flick should be, where it engages you, gives you the fright of your life and still keeps you hooked for more. It's not a bad movie, but there are places where it could have been improved. The cinematography and direction is excellent in the movie, as is the realistic makeup. The acting is really well done too, with both Shay Mitchell and Kirby Johnson doing justice to their roles. The jumpscares do their job well even though they're slightly predictable. The backdrop and atmosphere is perfect, and it is a visual treat to see the course of the movie's events play out in the dark, cavernous tombs. One of the better things about the film is that it doesn't play on the usual clichéd storytelling tactics in horror, where the evil keeps returning and is vanquished for once and for all. There's a certain mystery surrounding the ending, leaving viewers to their own conclusions about how the story panned out.

Verdict
Cadaver is a reasonably decent horror movie. The storyline is interesting and new, although it is predictable at various turns, the actors are genuinely good, and the cinematography is atmospheric. It's not particularly scary, but is a pretty engaging watch. If you're into horror flicks that tackle the concept of possession and such, Cadaver is likely to appeal to you.
