lives as an example for this, as depicted in the documentary film “Buck” directed by Cindy Meehl. Buck Brannaman is considered the real horse whisperer for his skills in working with them. Buck released at Sundance on January 21, 2011, and all over the United States on June 17, 2011. Following which, it won various accolades and awards.
Plot:
The movie showcases the life of Buck Brannaman, the real-life cowboy with a brilliant sense of empathy. As a child, he and his brother were abused by his father into doing rope tricks for shows, and this violent abuse escalated after the death of their mother. It ultimately came to an end when his football coach saw their scars from a beat-down they got from their father. Buck turned a new leaf when he went to live with his foster parents, the Shirley’s. He fell in love with horses and decided to accept his calling. Everything from then has been magic! That is the word used by all who have seen him handling horses. He has a hectic 40-weeks-a-year road trip around the country, helping anyone with horse problems and this takes him away from his wife and daughter, but the cowboy has understood that the horses need him equally. Buck was the main adviser and horse handler in the movie, “The Horse Whisperer”, directed by

. His success is not in the recognition from humans but in the trust and the happiness of his equine friends.
Analysis:
Buck Brannaman is a tortured soul who could have chosen to not only destroy himself but also everyone around him. He chose never to inflict the same pain on others; to fight for other lives, to empathize with them and to bring light into their lives. His story isa tale of a human being winning against immense odds, and it is delectable to watch Buck do his thing. The music is brilliant and refreshing. The simplicity with which he looks at life makes you want to believe in his principles- who doesn’t want to be happy?
