A six-year-old and his elder sister live with their divorced mother in Texas. The flick depicts the childhood and adolescence of a boy from the age six to eighteen, what all he goes through and every little thing a child experiences in his life.

Months later, Olivia settles down with Bill and blends their two families.

After some alcoholic and assaulting issues, they file a divorce, and again Olivia moves on. Later Mason Sr. remarries and asks his children to visit his wife’s parents. The original movie has shown the 12-year journey, where the audience have seen Mason grow up in front of their eyes on the screen. We hope that the sequel shows some fresh ideas and not the duplication of the experiment by the innovative Richard Linklater. After all, we don’t want to see Mason getting registered for his AARP cards or something.

Boyhood had earned a lot of accolades, and the box office roared around $44 million, keeping the budget at $4 million. Isn’t it cool enough?
