Plot:
Rhoda Williams, a 17 year old, has always been fascinated by astronomy. As celebration of getting into MIT, Rhoda gets intoxicated and drives home. She has to serve her term in the juvenile prison. After coming out, she decides to continue her isolation and works as a janitor in her high school. After John recovers, she decides to visit him and apologize. Unable to do so, she offers to clean his house up for free as a campaign. Eventually, her visits increase and the two begin to develop a caring and more significantly romantic relationship.
Rhoda wins an essay contest organized by a millionaire and is offered a civilian space flight to the mirror Earth that has been discovered. When John shows discontent with this offer, Rhoda decides to reveal the truth about the accident to him. In a state of shock, he asks her to leave. Rhoda hears a scientific postulate about the similarities between mirror earth and earth until they gain knowledge about the existence of the other. Does it mean John’s wife and son are alive on the other planet? Is it true that the two planets have similar people? Will Rhoda be able to meet herself from the mirror Earth? To answer these questions do watch the movie.
Analysis:
The whole idea of a mirror Earth is thought provoking. The screenplay delicately shows all elements of romance, love for dear ones and the depth of relationships. The curiosity of Rhoda and her willingness to visit the mirror Earth makes her fulfill that. The movie holds the audience throughout. Brit showcases a lovely personality and her amazing acting skills in the most mesmerizing manner.
Verdict:
The basic plot about a mirror earth and the fact that we can get back loved ones disturbs us at one point. As impossible as it seems, the plot of the movie gives the audience vague hope of what is impossible in reality. If you want to watch a sensitive movie, make sure you don’t miss out on this one.
