Suriya’s film Ghajini was launched in Telugu through Chiranjeevi’s home banner. He shared that the love that he got from the people in Andhra is because of Chiru. ' and his philosophy about cinema. Suriya said he got inspired by all of that especially with the blood and eye camp that Chiru’s foundation is running. He recalls that the foundation started when one time, the government has less than 500 litres of blood available and so Chiru announced that whoever donates blood would take a picture with him. The megastar kept his promise and he was very kind to take pictures to the people who donated blood.

Suriya has his own foundation called Agaram Foundation, who aims to help children who drops out of school and it now have 1000 first generation children studying. And he is giving the credit to Chiru for making him realize how a celebrity like him can do things for the society. Suriya said his turning point happened because of Chiru and he admires him in all ways especially on how he kept his family together.
