Sri Reddy, who alleged some of the people in Tollywood for casting couch, protested against the same in front of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. She was blamed that her half nude protest was to create the attention and nothing more. Following this, she was banned by Movie Artists' Association. After she released some photos and chat history, something turned into her favor. Now, the MAA lifted the ban on her. Although they alleged her for a publicity stunt, Sri Reddy said that she would go to any extent to prove that Tollywood has casting couch. Now, the Movie Artists' Association has announced that it would set up a committee, which will check for the casting couch and the committee will have a meeting once in three months. This happened only after the women activists submitted a petition to the Telangana government, seeking a solution to the sexual harassment. In Kollywood,
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar
started an initiative, Save Shakti, to protect the women. It is sad to hear that none of the top actresses supported her.
