2898 AD’ is once again in the news, but for different reasons.
The producers of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ have decided to sue two trade analysts and have initiated legal action against them. Notices of defamation have been served to analysts Sumit Kadel and Rohit Jaiswal.
But why? According to recent reports, Sumit Kadel and Rohit Jaiswal accused the makers of ‘Kalki’ of inflating the box office collections. According to their tweets, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has generated lesser revenue than claimed by the producers.
However, neither did they cite any source for their claims, nor did they try to prove themselves right. Interestingly, both self professed critics were caught giving positive reviews for ‘Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan’, despite the poor public response. This did not go well with both the fans of Prabhas and the social media users, who trolled them for their hypocrisy.
However, this is not the first time that Sumit Kadel has been in the news for spreading misinformation about movies. Famous actor Vidyut Jammwal had accused him of taking money from major producers in exchange of favorable reviews, only days after Sumit had criticized his latest release ‘Crakk’.
