is one of the most accomplished Jockeys of our country till date. He has had a glorious career that lasted 23 years, bringing laurels to the country and himself. Post-retirement, the 48-year-old horse racer has been training racing horses. He visited the Sri Lankan race course of Royal Turf Club in Nuwara Eliya, where he was respected and admired by all horse-race enthusiasts. In an interview to a newspaper, Pesi had talked about the new race course that was being built in the Nuwara Eliya town. The people are eagerly waiting for the renovated racing center that will have facilities like a veterinary hospital for the horses and a training track as well. He had also come up with some suggestions like building more new stables and announcing prize money for fourth runners-up too so that more people would be encouraged to participate. He was happy with the authorities, who show extreme interest in renewing the race course. His views and suggestions mean a lot to the RTC and they are trying to incorporate them too.
