Pakistan’s Lahore was hit by an earthquake today at 6.3 magnitude. The northwest Lahore is affected by the earthquake. It is reported that tremors felt in Delhi area and some areas in Kashmir, Chandigarh and Dehradun. As of now, the tremor is mild and no casualty or damages to the properties are reported. But, it is heard that 5 people are dead and 50 are injured in Mirpur, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, due to the earthquake. Islamabad, Lahore and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa range were said to be slightly affected by the tremor.
Pakistan’s Meteorological Department announced that an earthquake with 5.8 magnitude was located in Punjab’s Jhelum. The depth of the quake is expected to be of 10 km. The Indian Meteorological Department announced that an earthquake of magnitude 6.3 was felt and it was with the depth of 40 km. Indo - Pak border area felt the tremor at 4:30 pm.
