Misbah Ishak Khalid

Misbah Ishak Khalid is a well-known director from the Pakistan film and television industry. She has been in this industry for over three decades. Misbah has experience in television production, programming, planning, and content. She graduated in Arts at Joseph College in 1985 Karachi and holds a Masters in English Literature from the University of Karachi in 1987. Misbah also earned a Diploma in French from Alliance Francaise, Karachi, 1985 and Alliance Francaise, Paris, 1987. She has been the Chief Creative Officer at Rinstra Technologies since 2020. She is also an Executive Member of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce and a Former Executive Member of UPA. She acted from 1982-1990 and later started directing and producing films and serials. She has directed various children programs, documentaries, telefilms, music programs, and serials such as Mere Pass Pass, Laila Majnoon, Saanph Seeri, Ijazat, Pakeeza, and many more. She also directed the web series Dastak and Abhi Nahi in 2021. Misbah has organized various events such as Media Conference – FOCUS 16 and FOCUS 17, Cultural and Fashion Events, film Bazaar, Pakistan International Film Festival – 2018, 2019, 2021, DICECAM Conference for October 2019, and many more.

She was the Project Head of Women in Focus 2019. In addition to this, she has written articles for The Cricketer, The Leader, The TV Times, The Teenager Magazine, Women’s Own Magazine, and many more. She has also taught French Language at ABC School Montessary and Alliance Francaise. She has also done work for social causes such as fundraising for the Insaf Community Welfare Center (ICWC) and Railways, campaigning for Breast Cancer Awareness, co-Founder of Insaf TV, initiated PTI – Karachi Media Cell, member of PTI Karachi Media Cell, Member of Federal Government Artist Fund and many more.

Misbah was honored with awards for her contribution to the entertainment industry. In 2015, she received Pond Miracle Women. She won Best Producer Sitcom 2015 from Hum Awards. She was nominated for Best Director for the film Pakeeza from Hum Awards 2015 and Mere Pass Pass from Lux Style Awards 2006. She was also nominated for the film Kuch Is Tarah from the Lux Style Awards 2012.
