Asad Farooqui is an Actor, Director, Writer. He has been Known for Mabrook(2021), Free(2014), Stop(2014), Bonding (2014). He was born in Pakistan, then his family migrated to Atlanta, Georgia. At that time, he was only eight years old. His mother passed away when he was 11. He graduate in Business Management and Religion from Emory.
And after that MFA in Screenwriting and Directing from Columbia University, where he was a teaching fellow. He has written a number of scripts about Pakistani and Muslim characters stuck in America that refuse to accept them. Farooqui’s featured script BIN won the prestigious Islamic Scholarship Fund National Film Grant. And his other script, The Immigration Game won first place at the Atlanta Film Festival Screenplay Contest. At present, he is a lecturer at Central Washington University’s Film program.
