Ishrat Hashmi born in the year 1948 in Karachi, was a Pakistani actress who came into the limelight through her roles in various television dramas. She pursued her studies at the University of Karachi. She began her career in the year 1959 by working at Radio Pakistan in Lahore. In the 1970s, she made her debut as an actress on Pakistan Television. She was recognized for her roles in dramas Shama, Afshan, Aroosa and Naukar Ke Aage Chakar.
