One day, his brother took him to deliver Ishrat Hashmi’s clothes, and when they reached the venue, they noticed that Hashmi was shooting, and that is when Shuja witnessed the aura of acting. After quitting the embroidery shop, Shuja tried his luck in real estate but failed miserably. His father died on September 22, 2010. After his father's death, he entered the entertainment business. For several years, Shuja mostly did the supporting roles and antagonists only. He has yet to play the role of a protagonist in TV drama serials or movies. Still, irrespective of that, no matter the position he plays, he aces every one of them. In rough numbers, Shuja Sami has done around 50 drama serials along with two films. He was also in Manto and Maalik.
