Shinda Kahlon, born Satinderpal Singh Kahlon and better known as Shinda, is an Indo-Canadian singer, rapper, songwriter, and producer. He was born in 1996 in Ajnala, Amritsar, Punjab, India. He completed his schooling in Ajnala and went to Camosun College, Canada, to study business management. Shinda primarily makes music in Punjabi. He debuted with the song he wrote the lyrics for, Faraar, with singer Gurinder Gill in 2019. After that, he sang and made various hit songs, and some of his notable songs include Arrogant (2020), Fate (2020), Brown Munde (2020), Against All Odds (2021), Dil Nu (2022), Jatt Di Clip 2 (2018), Majhe Aale (2022), and True Stories and First of a Kind in 2023. He has also released a few mixtapes, such as Gulabi Rang, Jatt Di Clip 2, and Ronda Ronda. His chartbuster song Brown Munde, released in 2020, became extremely popular and earned him appreciation worldwide. In his career, he has won and been nominated for many awards for his music. In 2016, Shinda won the Best Music Director award at the PTC Punjabi Music Awards. He also received a nomination for Best Song at the Brit Asia Music Awards in 2018 for his song Jatt Di Clip 2.Shinda's song Brown Munde won the Independent Music Category (Indies) award in the Mirchi Music Awards 2022.Shinda released his first EP in 2020, Not By Chance, and after that, he released two more EPs, Hidden Gems (2021) and Two Hearts Never Break the Same (2022).
