Gur Sidhu

Gur Sidhu’s full name is Gursimran Singh Sidhu. His nickname is Simmu. He is an Indian singer, rapper, songwriter, lyricist, music composer, record producer, and music director who is associated with Punjabi music and cinema. He was born on Friday, July 11, 1997. Gur Sidhu’s place of birth is Village Chak Singh Wala, Bathinda, in Punjab. He took his school studies at Mahindra Public School, Chak Fateh Singh Wala in Bathinda. After completing the twelfth standard, he passed the IELTS exam and shifted to Canada, to pursue his further studies. His father’s name is Sukhbir Singh Sidhu, and he is also a singer. His mother’s name is Rupinder Kaur. He has a younger brother. His grandfather’s name is Harnek Singh, and he was a government Punjabi teacher. 

Gur Sidhu moved to Canada when he was nineteen years old. He worked for an initial couple of days at a plastic factory. His grandfather motivated & encouraged him to pursue a career in the music industry. During his school days, he took part in the school choir and played the harmonium. In 2016, Gur Sidhu marked his debut with his single track, “Sarkaare,” written by Amrit Ghudda. Then, he got his breakthrough with the song, "Bro Oye,” which was released by White Hill Music. The same year, Gur Sidhu wrote, sang, and composed the song "Challa” for the Punjabi comedy drama film “Ardab Mutiyaran,” directed by Manav Shah Bio coming soon... >> Read More... and starring Ninja & Sonam Bajwa. Gur Sidhu composed many songs, such as "Taare” (sung by Sidhu Moose Wala), “Ssubah Jatt Da” (sung by Amrit Maan), and “Regret” (sung by R Nait). In 2020, he released the songs "Fragrance" and "Sham Da Laara.” In 2021, he released his debut album titled “Nothing Like Before" under the label of Brown Town Music and produced by Nav Sandhu. The full album proved to be successful super hit songs like Dekhi Jau, Cherry Cheeks, Taakre, Ashke Ashke, Goli, Dila Ve, and many more. The same year, he released the hit song, "Vaadi Galbaat" featuring Gurlej Akhtar. The song has crossed forty million views on YouTube. His second album, "Special Delivery," was released on October 2, 2023 under the label of Brown Town Music.
