Mandy Takhar is a famous British- Indian model and also an actress. She was born in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom. She is seen predominantly working in Punjabi films. She shifted her base from the United Kingdom to Mumbai in 2006 as she had started working in India as a model. She has her ancestors from Phagwara, Punjab. She had always dreamt of becoming an actress in India.
During the age of 17, she shifted to London to study drama at Kingston University. In her starting career in India, she did two South- Indian movies and some Tv commercials after she got a role opposite Babbu Mann, Punjabi singer in 2010 in the film Ekam- Son of Soil. She also did a Bollywood film Bamboo, which went unnoticed and didn't do well at the box office.
