Plot
The story starts with a celebrity couple, Kabeer and Shana, who are in a live-in relationship and meet some youngsters from various backgrounds. The boys get attracted towards Shana while girls also draw towards Kabeer and start making their chances on them, so the pair decide to stage their breakup to see how far these youngsters will go after them. The rest of the movie forms a fun and flirtatious ride.
Star Performance
The film stars many fresh faces and is also debut as actor for the director of the film Vivek Sharma. He manages to do his role well as he perfectly understands it, as he is also the film's writer. Kapil Khadiwala, as the celebrity, shines in the movie with his wide range of emotions, perfectly portraying his negative and positive sides. Mandy Takkar also plays her character well and has good chemistry with Kapil. Other actors, Sumit Suri, Suman Mishra, Sabina Sheema & Jugnu Ishiqui, although given small roles, suited their characters well.
Analysis
Expectations were relatively high with this film as Vivek Sharma’s earlier venture, “Bhoothnath” was quite a success. This time he presents a Rom-Com with a story surrounding young relationships. The story is quite short and sweet, and it captures the modern relationship angle with ease, exploring concepts of live-in, jealousy, and flirting. But it lacks the depth to all characters and primarily focuses on Vivek’s character Gautam and the lead celebrity couple Kabeer and Shana while other actors get shadowed. While the romance part of the film is beautifully captured, the film's comedy is hit-and-miss. The first half is dull to watch, but the movie picks up in the second and then grips you until the end.
