Jatinder Mauhar

Jatinder Mauhar is an Indian Punjabi film director, scriptwriter, researcher, and columnist. He hails from the village Bhutta, in Fatehgarh Sahib (district), Punjab, India. Jatinder Mauhar did his higher secondary education from the village school and then completed his senior secondary education from the Government High School Farour. He graduated from Punjab University. He accomplished a three-year diploma in Knitting Technology from the Government Institute of Textile Chemistry and Knitting Technology, Ludhiana. In Ludhiana, he worked for a couple of years as a knitting technician in different Knitting Mills before pursuing his interest in cinema.

He initiated his career by directing music videos. At the same time, he finalized a diploma in film direction from the ZEE Institute of Media Arts in Mumbai. He continuingly writes about Indian and World cinema. He worked as a researcher in the documentary film “Samjhauta Express” in 2014. He also worked in many films such as “Qissa Punjab: A Tale of Punjab (2015),” “Bhagat Singh (2014),” “Pagla Jeha (2015),” and “Saade Aale (2020).”

He featured as an actor in the Punjabi film “Adh Chanani Raat” under the production of Contentflow Studios.
