Ranjit Patnaik is an Odia writer who has worked as a dialogue and screenplay writer. He began his writing career in 1999 and is mainly associated with the Odia film industry. He began working for the first time with the movie Rakata Chinhichhi Nijara Kie, released in 1999. He wrote the movie's dialogues, Satya Meba Jayate, directed by Basant Sahu. For the movie, he shared the platform with other co-writers like Biranchi Narayan Panda and Basant Sahu. He has more than 25 films in his credits.
He began working as a screenplay and dialogue writer in 2010 for the film Diwana. His last film project was in 2018, and the movie was Sundargarh Ra Salman Khan. He has also worked as a lyricist for the movie Pua Bhangi Dela Suna Sansara, released in 1999. Ranjit Patnaik died at the age of 65 on 9th August 2022. Ranjit Patnaik was suffering from liver failure and was having liver cirrhosis for a long time.
