Aroh Velankar

Aroh Velankar is an actor by profession, who debuted with the Marathi movie, Rage (2013). He had received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award (2015) for his noteworthy performance. He was born on 14th November 1989 in Pune, Maharashtra. He had started his acting career as an artist in the theatre. In 2019, Aroh appeared as a wild-card entry contestant in Bigg Boss Marathi 2. People liked how real he was on the show. His transparent persona gained him immense praise. Aroh did his schooling from Karnataka High School, Pune. He then pursued a Mechanical Engineering degree from MIIT-College of Engineering, Pune. His father, Nitin Welankar, is a businessman at Welan Technologies. He has a younger brother named Atharva Welankar. In 2017, Aroh married his long-time girlfriend, Ankita Shingvi. He describes his wife as a rock-solid support system. She has been there for him since their days at college. The couple appeared on the cover of SakaalTanishq magazine in 2018. Heenjoys painting, traveling, and exercising. His favorite colors are black and blue. Aroh is a die-hard foodie, who relishes non-vegetarian and sweet dishes. His favorite restaurant is the Aaichya Gaavaat, Pune.

He is the proud owner of two dogs: Whiskey and Scotch. In 2015, Aroh started his YouTube channel, Rangaart. This man of many talents launched a campaign titled i-Vote in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Aroh attributes his success to his grounded approach. He never lets fame get to his head just tries to capitalize on it to gain more work. He also follows the ‘less is more’ principle. Aroh believes that the lesser you are seen in limelight, the more you are sold. It keeps the mystery intact.
