A Hindu avadhuta is Sri Ganapathi Sachidananda Swami Ji. He is a well-known religious figure in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. He also has a massive following in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Trinidad & Tobago. He was born on May 26, 1942, in Mekedatu, British India's Madras Presidency (now Karnataka, India). Sri Swami Ji had immense power and understanding from birth. Even as a young child, Sri Swami Ji led satsangs and coached his friends in bhajans.

Since he was a young child, Sri Swami Ji has been helping people and providing support during difficult times. Through his supernatural abilities, Sri Swami Ji could understand their circumstances, comprehend their past, present, and future, and assist them in overcoming their challenges. In 1966, Sri Swami Ji went to Mysore Ashram, which was only a hut in its initial days. This was the place (i.e., Mysore Ashram) where he became Sri Ganapathi Sachidananda Swami Ji from Sri Swami Ji. Till now, Swami Ji has been helping his devotees in his way.

Sri Swami Ji founded various institutions, including Avadhoota Datta Peetham, which guides other organizations, and Amma Vodi, a rehabilitation facility and hospital in Dundigal, near Hyderabad, India. Besides all these, Sri Swami Ji is also a great composer of Bhajans. Swami Ji has written 2000+ songs in languages like Sanskrit, Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi. Swami Ji's poems, such as Chutuku Sahitya in Kannada and Vedanta Geetalu in Telugu, have been a guiding light for those searching for answers. They define the essence of life in an elementary language.
